Organista e pianista da Primeira Igreja Batista do Rio de Janeiro, Domitila Ballesteros é Mestre em Órgão pela Escola de Música da UFRJ.
Foi aluna de Fritz Hofer no Rio de Janeiro, e, posteriormente em Winterthur, Suíça. Estudou, ainda com Pablo Castellanos, em Caracas, Venezuela, na Escola Superior de Música José Ángel Lamas.
Publicou "Jeanne Demessieux's Six Études and the Piano Technique" livro que aborda as relações entre a técnica pianística e organística nos estudos para órgão da compositora francesa Jeanne Demessieux. Para ver comentário sobre o livro, clicar aqui.
É presidente do "Instituto de Cultura e Arte Organística (ArteOrg)"
Tem atuado ativamente, seja como organista solista, seja como acompanhadora. Como acompanhadora, foi pianista do Coral Brasil Ensemble da UFRJ, e do coro do CURJ - Clube Uruguaio do Rio de Janeiro, dentre outros. Como solista, vem se apresentado em diversos eventos, como do Festival Internacional de Órgão do Rio de Janeiro e recitais em diversas Igrejas desta cidade.
Como participante das comemorações do ano Brasil-França em 2005, patrocinada pelo Ministério da Cultura, Domitila Ballesteros realizou uma série de recitais de órgão na região da Bretanha, França, nas cidades de Ploermel, Fougères, Rennes e St. Malo (ver referência clicando aqui) e ainda na mesma ocasião, da Semana International da Mulher, também na cidade de Rennes. Em julho de 2006 foi recitalista do Festival Internacional de Órgão de Hasselt, Bélgica, dentro da série "Sete Mulheres Musicistas de Renome". Em 2007, Domitila Ballesteros realizou o concerto de abertura do XXI Festival Internacional de Órgano em Montevidéu. Organist and pianist of the First Baptist Church of Rio de Janeiro, Domitila Ballesteros has obtained her Master Degree in Organ from the UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro).

Mrs. Ballesteros has worked actively as a soloist organist or as an accompanying professional. In this latter condition, she worked as pianist of the Choral Brasil Ensemble from the UFRJ and of the Choral of the Uruguayan Club of Rio de Janeiro, among others. As soloist, she has participated of several events, such as the International Organ Festival of Rio de Janeiro and several other recitals in churches of this City.
As one of the participants of the commemorations of the Year Brazil-France in 2005, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of Brazil, Domitila Ballesteros presented a series of concerts in the Region of Bretagne, France, in the cities of Ploermel, Fougères, Rennes and St. Malo (see reference by clicking here). In the same occasion, she participated of the International Women Week, also in the City of Rennes. In July 2006, she was a recitalist in the International Organ Festival in Hasselt, Belgium, as part of the series "Seven Women - Well-Known Musicians" In 2007, Domitila Ballesteros performed the opening organ concert in the XXI International Organ Festival in Montevideu, Uruguay.
